भुईअघाडा (प्रोस्ट्रेट पॅश्चरवीड) ही जमीनीलगत रांगत वाढणारी तणवर्गीय वनस्पती. पाने पतंगाकृती असून त्यावर लाल रंगाच्या शिरा असतात. फुलोरा तुऱ्यासारखा आणि त्यावर तीन ते पाचच्या गटात लहान फुले येतात. यापैकी एक फुल हे पूर्ण असते तर त्याभोवती दोन वंध्यफुले असून, त्यांचे रुपांतर गुलाबी रंगाच्या, वक्र कुशात झालेले दिसते. फळे लहान, शुष्क व एकबीजी असतात. बी लंबगोल व तपकिरी रंगाची असते.

Distribution : Tropical & subtropical world.
Habitat : Forest & wastelands.
Habit : Perennial, prostrate herb.
Stem : Procumbent, red, rooting at nodes.
Leaves : Opposite, rhomboid, pubescent.
Inflorescence : Spike, terminal, solitary or in clusters of 3.
Flowers : In groups of 3 or 5, of which one perfect flower grouped with 2 or 4 neuter flowers; Perfect flower with 5-lobed, green perianth. Neuter flowers reduced to pink, hooked awns.
Blooming time : Morning.
Fruits : Achenes, obovoid, compressed, Golden-brown.
Flowering period : September-April.
Propagation : Seeds, stem cuttings.

- Weed.
- Larval host plant of Fulvous Pied Flat butterfly.
